Welcome to Remdal’s annual picnic. Held in Fort Langley each August, it’s an afternoon at the park for our crews, office staff, management, owners, and all of their families to join together for games, food and prizes.
For more than a decade this has been the largest event of the year for Remdal. In 2022, over 350 people attended, enjoyed themselves and met various colleagues and family members.
New for 2022 – what an amazing effort by Edgar’s group to provide tacos for everyone as the event ramped up in the afternoon. They were delicious and we can’t wait to see them return again for next year’s picnic!
A major highlight of this year’s event was the Rob Beck Memorial soccer tournament. First place went to Hla Pe’s team with Ramin’s team runner ups and in 3rd place was Edgar’s group. Thanks to everyone who played!
The kids and adults games are always a spectacle and this year was no exception. The classic three legged race, tug of war and ever popular musical chairs – the photos say a thousand words in all of these cases.
As noted by Ken afterwards, “ I think Saturday was outstanding! My thanks to each of you who made this a great day. There were so many superb contributions and I cannot recount them all, so I will mention just two: Particular thanks to Sarrah, our event coordinator. This is a major event to plan and carry off, and Sarrah did a great job and smiled through it all! It was an excellent day due to your good work. Well done!
Also, special thanks to Nestor. He pushed through his pain and made our soccer tournament a great success. Nestor, your dedication was on full display on Saturday. Thank you!
Lastly, thanks to all who spent time talking with our extended team, meeting their spouses and children and sharing in friendly conversation. This is meaningful. Thank you for investing in relationships. I am proud, and at the same time humbled, by our superb team of people who give their all to make this a great day for our whole team. Thank you all!”
We can’t wait to see everybody again next year!
