Employment Opportunities Since 1974 Remdal has gained a solid reputation as a premier painting company in the Lower Mainland. We are proud of our Remdal team, and we are looking to expand with additional Employees and Licensed Applicators. Employees Employees work in crews under the direction of our Licensed Applicators. Our Licensed Applicators hire people with various levels of painting experience and skills. Wages range from $10.00–$21.00 per hour. We offer training both on and off the job. We invite you to watch a portion of one of our training videos to help give you a sense our high performance standards.
Skills can be learned. Good character is usually instilled from childhood. We are looking for people who take pride in their work and who want to do things properly and safely. We are looking for people who care, people who will take pride in protecting a customer’s rose bushes, who will take time to be courteous and polite, and who will be on time and dressed in proper Remdal uniform. We are looking for people who are not afraid of hard work—including work off of ladders—and who are interested in growing and maturing both in their painting skills and as an individual.

Licensed Applicators We are proud of the quality individuals who serve as Remdal Licensed Applicators, many of whom began with our company as employees. We are seeking individuals who have the necessary skills and qualifications, and who are interested in a long-term positive business relationship with Remdal.
Our current Licensed Applicators have been with us for an average of nearly 6 years, and several have been with us for more than 9 years.
Our Licensed Applicators are our on-site managers. They differ from “sub-contractors” in that they work exclusively for Remdal as part of the Remdal team. Licensed Applicators are tradesmen painters who go through our training processes and participate in our on-going customer service training. They manage Remdal projects, following the Remdal systems. They hire and train the employees working on their crews (usually between 2 and 6 employees), and own their vehicle and equipment.
The Licensed Applicator position carries significant responsibility and also has significant income potential. Our Licensed Applicators currently make between $60,000 and $100,000 per year in pre-tax income.
There are a number of important qualifications necessary to be considered as a candidate for the Licensed Applicator position:
- At least 8 years experience in the painting trade
- Painting Certificate of Qualification (C.Q.)
- Good character and willingness to embrace the Remdal mission statement
- Ability to follow instructions and operate within Remdal’s systems
- Proven administrative and job management skills
- Proven people skills and commitment to customer service
