About Us—History

Remdal was formed in 1974 by two partners, Don Rempel and Arnold Daling, hence the name “Rem-Dal.” In 1991 Ken Ewert and Don Tilling purchased the company. Over the next seven years, the company doubled in size and expanded into new areas including caulking, concrete restoration, deck membranes, hi-rise work, and water proofing.

Today the company is owned and managed by Ken Ewert, Dan Schmidt and Rob Beck.

Thanks to our customers, Remdal has gained a solid reputation as a leader in the exterior coating market. Our customers include many Property Management firms in the lower mainland as well as the GVRD, British Columbia Buildings Corporation, the District of Maple Ridge, BC Housing, Defense Construction, Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society, the Salvation Army, along with a number of other important customers.
